The present team that comprises EAT formed in June 2004 in response to on-going debate around the subject of aesthetics of virtual environments and a localized epidemic of low-grade ennui. In preparation for their current exhibition the group began training in earnest through a strict regimen to promote mental discipline (primarily mantric recitations of How to Lie with Maps) and physical exercise including daily 5:00 am calisthenics and short-distance race-walking. Both mental and physical trainings were poorly attended, at best.
The EAT team is composed of artists, designers, and brothers of said artists and designers (see details of the current Eaters, above). The team meets (sometimes) weekly to present ideas, prototypes and new work and to receive critiques. All members of the group provided feedback on each aspect of a project, some of which is thoughtfully considered. While not a formal member of the team, beer is present at 92% of all meetings, exceeding the attendance record of any individual official member.
